NFT.NYC: The Action-packed Matchmaking BGA Event
BGA hosted an Investor Matchmaking and Networking side event on the 11th of April at Oasis by Workville, New York, welcoming over 50 members to this closed members event centered on raising capital.
Panel Discussion
Kicking off the event with a panel discussion: ‘Why invest in web3 gaming?’ Moderated by Flavien Defraire from the BGA, the panel was joined by speakers Matthieu Brossard from Blue Sky Interactive showcasing their new web3 game Last Resort, Sami Chlagou, CEO & Co-Founder of Cross the Ages, and Martin Harder, Business Development Lead at Atomic Hub.
The conversation spanned the various steps of raising funds for a web3 gaming project. It leveraged our panelists’ experiences of different fundraising stages, with great advice to fledging projects and key information for attendees to absorb. Topped off with a Q&A session, this event section offered many practical pointers for web3 gaming projects when seeking investment.
Pitch Session
This session was a unique opportunity for BGA members to pitch directly to select and distinguished investors and venture capital firms interested in the blockchain gaming sector. The event enabled attendees to share ideas, receive feedback and gain valuable insight and connections.
Networking Evening
Following a successful and lively pitch session, the evening ensued with drinks, canapes, and networking, bringing everyone together to chat about all things blockchain gaming, share ideas and make connections within the sector. We value getting our members together at large events in this way, bringing value to our community and connecting with our members worldwide.
