This Sunday, Blockchain@IU held its very first pitch competition! Our Blockchain Analysts competed against each other by presenting research reports about different blockchain topics.

Our first group was comprised of Rishab Rai, Kyle Cribbins, and Harsh Duvvuru, who presented their findings on Canto, a fairly newer blockchain running on the Ethereum Virtual machine. These analysts spoke very highly of the Canto Lending Market.

The next topic presented was Ordinal NFTs by Anshul Ravi and Aaron Thomas. Ordinals NFTs are minted on the Bitcoin blockchain, a technology that has never really worked with Bitcoin before. Ravi and Thomas acknowledged the risks that comes with running on Bitcoin, but they believed the opportunity was too good to pass up.

Lastly, Jack Dunne and Dean Fries presented their report on Compound Finance. Compound Finance is a borrowing and lending service ran on the Ethereum blockchain. While there may be many competitors, these analysts believe Compound is the clear winner.

After much deliberation by the exec board, Anshul Ravi and Aaron Thomas were deemed the winners with their research on Ordinal NFTs. Check out their report below!
