BEN Announces Community Partnership with CryptoChicks to Empower Girls Around Blockchain
The Blockchain Education Network (BEN) is delighted to announce its partnership with CryptoChicks. CryptoChicks is a volunteer-run non-profit educational hub with a mission to grow the economic, professional and leadership potential of women and youth in blockchain and AI technologies through education, mentorship, business and diverse employment opportunities.
CryptoChicks now has chapters in Canada, USA, Russia, Pakistan, and Bahamas. In 2018, CryptoChicks was nominated for Blockchain Company of the Year Award at the Canadian FinTech and AI Awards, organized by the Digital Finance Institute.
The partnership is part of Blockchain Education Network’s commitment to STEM education, entrepreneurship & employment opportunities for women and youth around the world. BEN is excited to unite BEN women members and the CryptoChicks community to create a space for women to learn, build, and lead.
Mel Vera, Executive Vice President for Blockchain Education Network explains, “The Blockchain space is in its early stage, we are building the future. At BEN we want to push the education and involvement of women and youth in the space. Crypto Chicks has been highly effective at involving girls in the space, we are very excited for our students to participate in their event.”
Last month both Blockchain Education Network and CyptoChicks participated in ETHDenver, bringing women and students to learn, hack, and compete. The linkages between companies are very strong. The Blockchain Education Network is pleased to be partnered with CryptoChicks in an effort to support Women within the Blockchain space.
