Facebook bans legit blockchain conference

Facebook, Google and other companies want to distance themselves from the ICO craze. And I can see why. But Facebook's attempt at creating this distance is completely flawed:

Any ad with the word “blockchain” is banned.

This is us, the team blocked from Facebook

So I am still getting lots of ads for ICOs in my Facebook feed from people just avoiding the word “blockchain”, but we are unable to advertise for our conference “Oslo Blockchain Day”.

We are organizing one of the largest blockchain conference in Europe for the third consecutive year on April 24. The conference has been sponsored by IBM and Microsoft, and has had prominent speakers like Andreas M. Antonopoulos and Fabien Vogelsteller. Just to be clear, we are not doing an ICO. It is only a conference on blockchain technology and business like Hyperledger, Ethereum, supply chains and self sovereign identity.

This year's conference is sponsored by Norway's largest bank, DNB, and features keynotes by both William Mougayar (author of The Business Blockchain) and Vinay Gupta.

Only the post promoting ICOs was allowed by Facebook?!

I have tried to promote many different posts. And, as you can see from the screenshot, they have all been rejected. However, one post got through and was ok by Facebook: A talk on “How to do an ICO in Norway”. This is the one that should have been blocked, if any! Weird stuff…

It would be great help, if you would clap and help us share this post!
Thanks in advance!
