Hey! Preston here, founder of BlockCities.

I figured I’d give you a quick run down of the BlockCities Founder collection, some of the game mechanics, and how to build buildings!

First, let’s start with the buildings. There are three classes of buildings:

  • Generative buildings
  • The Classics
  • Special Editions

Generative Buildings

Generative buildings are buildings you create yourself. They’re composed of elements from buildings in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and San Francisco. They can also feature specially designed roofs and ground floors like our “Tree Ground Floor” and Pool roof.

These are constructed on-chain as soon as you press “Build Mystery Building” and will arrive in your “My Buildings” collection as unique CryptoCollectibles.

The Classics

The Classics are limited edition buildings you’d find in the real world. These are city favorites from New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and San Francisco. In the set, you’ll find downtown icons like the Willis Tower from Chicago and Westin Peachtree Plaza from Atlanta.

Special Editions

Special Edition buildings are super rare, custom designed collectibles. In this case, we’ve designed a set of Golden Building collectibles that will be awarded to one of the first 50, 100, 250, and 500 builders.

All you have to do is purchase a building through the Mystery Machine to have a chance at winning one of these 1 of 1 collectibles.

Founders Collection

Along with being limited edition or generative, buildings can also have special attributes. For the initial Founders Collection, the first 500 minted buildings will forever be “Founder Buildings.” These will never be produced again.

Dynamic Pricing

The price is constantly responding to the demand for the machine. Every time a purchase is made and building created, the price increases by 0.0003 ETH (~$0.05). But, here’s the catch. Every 20 blocks (~5 min) that goes by without a purchase, the price decreases by 0.0003 ETH.

The price is capped at both ends, down to 0.05 ETH (~$8) and up to 0.15 ETH (~$23).

The rest of the details can be found online at www.blockcities.co when we flip the switch and go mainnet.
