Everything you need to know for the BlockCities Scavenger Hunts

BlockCities is excited to announce Season 1 of BlockCities Scavenger Hunts in collaboration with FOAM. The season will feature 3 consecutive Weekend Scavenger Hunts on Saturday and Sunday of each week revealing a total of 6 hidden buildings from across the world.

Each weekend, we’ll release hints pertaining to a hidden building somewhere in the world. The first person to guess the correct building add a corresponding Point of Interest to the FOAM Map, wins!

But, there’s a catch! The first hints may not be about the building at all, but about the prevailing country, region, or persons related to the building. The more hints, the clearer they get. Each hint is released every hour, then every half-hour, then every fifteen minutes — progressively releasing faster as the Hunt continues!

If the community wants to go even faster, they can work together to accomplish collective goals during the Hunt to receive hints immediately when the goals are met! An example would be “10 users must add a Point of Interest in the correct origin city of the hidden building to advance.”

Process

BlockCities will release building clues start at the start time on Hunt day.
Clues will be released on Twitter at https://twitter.com/blockcitieshunt
The clues will be released progressively quicker until the point is found (starting an 1 hr)
Users can get the next clue instantly by achieving collective goals
The winning address will be identified and announced on Twitter (@blockcitieshunt)
The address associated with the correct POI will be sent the exclusive BlockCities collectible.

Rules

The Point of Interest must be placed on the FOAM POI map.
The POI must be labeled according to the official name listed on Google Maps. (Address Name or Building Name is acceptable)
The POI must be placed within 10 meters of the building coordinates found on Google Maps.

What’s needed to compete?

To compete in the Hunt, you’ll need a computer and internet access to the FOAM Map → map.foam.space

Additionally, to add any POIs to the map, you’ll need to get FOAM token, which can be purchased with ETH → https://uniswap.exchange/swap/0x4946fcea7c692606e8908002e55a582af44ac121

Prizes

The winner receives an extremely limited edition, 1 of 1 BlockCities collectible of the building they discovered! The NFT is automatically minted to the winner’s ETH address 2–3 days after the hunt.
