BlockCluster Reached Out to Indian Ministries & IT Giants at Blockchain Summit India 2019
February, 2019
As a part of our global initiative to help businesses and government worldwide in smooth adoption of Blockchain, team BlockCluster reached out to various Indian government ministries and IT giants at Blockchain Summit India 2019.
The event was organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and was hosted by IIM Lucknow at their Noida campus. It is the first edition of the Vision Blockchain 2030 initiative that emphasis on the importance of empowering a Blockchain ecosystem in the India and formulation of cryptocurrency regulation.
The summit witnessed the presence of over 80 global Blockchain influencers and speakers to address 2300 participants. Some of the keynote speakers were Minister of Commerce and Industry — Mr. Suresh Prabhu and Minister of Science and Technology — Dr. Harsh Vardhan. The conference also had presentations on Blockchain from eminent personalities representing Google, Accenture, IBM, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra.
Although adoption of Blockchain is in early stages in India, the government is making efforts to spread awareness about it. Different Indian ministries are considering to deploy it for streamlining different processes and mitigate roadblocks. This is the reason precisely why members of the telecom ministry after going through the demo of the platform, praised the concept of BlockCluster. Visitors to our stall backed our approach of solving the problem of Blockchain adoption and implementation via a platform that is easy to deploy and scale.
Similarly, IT giants like Facebook, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. shared common problems of their customers related to Blockchain adoption, exploring true potential of use-cases, time to market Blockchain business solution, and a huge talent gap. After our discussions with these giants who are the movers and shakers of the industry, we see that despite of all the consortiums which are being formed across the globes in various industries, there is a gap to be addressed by strong partnerships between technologists, innovators, and Blockchain businesses.
Old school rules of application and infrastructure world may not be directly applicable in flourishing the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) industry, this may need methods beyond disruption philosophy to change the way business is operated using Blockchain. While identifying a use-case is important, understanding the adoption it may have is going to be the key of designing solution based on Blockchain.
