Real Estate and Start-up Shares in your pocket
Zug 9th of May 2019 — Holding tokenized digital assets like real estate and company shares on your mobile phone is no longer a futuristic dream. Argent, a simple and safe non-custodial crypto wallet, and blockimmo, a platform for real estate tokenization, have partnered to introduce the first security tokens in a user-friendly wallet.
blockimmo recently tokenized their first property in Switzerland (learn more) and in addition tokenized their own company start-up equity (learn more). These so-called security tokens were issued directly to the investors who used their MetaMask wallets (and, connected to that certain hardware wallets). Now, thanks to the partnership with Argent, the security tokens can be safely held on any smartphone (Argent has an iOS and Android App available).

Argent’s wallet is decentralized, meaning the user, not Argent, controls their private key. Uniquely for a decentralized wallet, Argent’s is easy to recover, without paper backups, and offers protection from theft with features such as wallet locking, daily limits and trusted contacts (learn more). It supports over 50 cryptocurrencies, including Ether and Dai. As blockimmo utilizes existing standards and protocols it was easy to integrate the first security tokens into the wallet.
