Hi again to another Dev Diary. In this publication we will discuss the new level system we implemented in the Blocklancer platform.
You can view your current level in the blue circle next to your profile image or in the header at the top right. Further you can view your current Experience Points in your profile.
You gain experience points by completing various tasks on the platform such as completing a job or buying a gig. Further we are implementing achievements (badges or trophies) which generate huge amounts of experience points upon completion.
Why do I need XP and a high level?
The more XP you have the better will be the visibility of your gigs. Our search algorithm is ranking users with high XP higher than other users. Moreover a high level shows that you are an experienced freelancer and therefore more clients will be attracted to your gigs. Moreover the level system is an motivational force so that you will be looking forward to every level increase, you can achieve. It was always a goal of Blocklancer to make the life more fun for freelancers!
