Paris Hilton’s Cat’s Digital Painting worth $17,000 — A digital painting of a cat by Paris Hilton was sold for 40 ETH this is equal to $17,000 at the time of sale. She auctioned the artwork in the form of NFT. The painting was vended on an Ethereum-based auction platform cryptograph for 40 ETH. The buyer already owns artwork made by Vlad Zamfir and Roger Ver.

Beeple’s art that sold for $69m — Setting a new record for digital art, the Beeple’s art was sold at Christie’s auction house for a whopping $69m. Interestingly, the winner won’t receive a painting, sculpture or even a print. Rather he/she will get NFT a unique digital token. Created by Mike Winkelmann, professionally known as Beeple, Everydays: The First 5000 Days is a JPEG. The art is basically a collage of 5000 images created in the “Everydays” series. An NFT that represents Everydays: The First 5000 Days fetched the highest price paid for a non-fungible token and is now the third-most-expensive work by a living artist.

An animated Gif of Nyan Cat was worth $500,00 — Created in 2011 a meme of a flying pop-tart cat was sold for more than $500,000. The creator of Nyan Cat Chris Torres represented his first foray into crypto art at the NFT sale. At the time of the sale, the bids for the Nyan Cat started at 3 ETH which is approximately equal to $1,544.38. But shockingly it ended at 300 ETH which is about $590,000.

Musician Grimes’s digital art was sold for more than $6m — Lately Grimes also joined the NFT gold rush. A series of 10 pieces — some with thousands of copies, others unique — went up for sale on Nifty Gateway. Auction for the digital artworks fetched him around $6 million. Out of them, a one-of-a-kind video called “Death of the Old” was the highest-selling piece. Other pieces also brought about handsome rewards. Approximately 700 copies brought about a total of $5.18 million by the end of the sales.

The bid for Jack Dorsey’s first tweet went as high as $2.5m — Jack Dorsey, co-founder and CEO of Twitter promoted an NFT of the first-ever tweet. He now plans to convert the proceeds from the NFT auction to bitcoin and donate them to charity. $2.5 million is the highest bid for the tweet currently.

The record for the most expensive single sale of $26,185 is held by RAC — A Grammy award winner, RAC is a well-established Portuguese musician. He joined hands with Andrés Reisinger for video animation. The video featured an exclusive RAC’s sound bite called “Elephant Dreams”. It was sold for $26,185 via SuperRare on October 10th, 2020 and became the most expensive music-related NFT to date.
