Welcome to the Blockmason Weekly Update!

Hello, Blockmason community! Another week is upon us, which means it’s time for another Weekly Update.

In this edition of the Weekly Update, an update to Lndr v1.5 development and pending release.

Are you ready? Let’s get started!

An update to Lndr v1.5 development and pending release

As we’re quickly moving through November, we wanted to share an update on the development of Lndr v1.5.

Lndr v1.5 is a major upgrade to our decentralized mobile app. Currently, Ether (ETH) is the only cryptocurrency that can be used to settle a debt in Lndr. But in Lndr v1.5, our users will also be able to settle up using a “stablecoin” as well.

The integration of a new cryptocurrency option in Lndr has required a significant amount of development time. Our engineering team of Devin, Will, Ethan and our Product Manager, Harish have risen to this challenge.

Lndr’s entire back-end server infrastructure has been re-written. This rewrite helps to lead us into the future, making it easier to build new features, add more currencies, or scale up with our growth. And the Lndr app has undergone changes of its own to prepare for a new cryptocurrency settlement option.

After discussing the release of Lndr v1.5 today, our team feels confident that we will be able to meet our revised goal of releasing Lndr v1.5 next week. You can expect the update to appear on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store sometime between 2018–11–11 and 2018–11–15.

Please stay tuned to our communities and the Weekly Update for further updates to our progress. We’ll also be kicking off a contest on release day, so stay ready for your chance to win!

Lndr is our peer-to-peer bill-splitting and expense-sharing mobile app for iOS and Android. It uses the Credit Protocol and the Ethereum blockchain to create, manage and settle casual debts and IOUs between friends. Essentially, “Venmo of the blockchain.”

Lndr supports dozens of currencies and allows users to settle debts in Ether (ETH). Lndr now also includes fiat currency settlement through integration with PayPal.

With the new addition of larger settlement and transfer options, it’s a great time to try out Lndr.

You can download Lndr for iOS on the App Store and Lndr for Android on Google Play
