Announcing Lndr v1.5 — Dai Stablecoin Settlement, Better Wallet Management, New Server Architecture and a Launch Contest!

The entire team here at Blockmason is proud to announce the release of Lndr v1.5. This release marks significant improvements to Lndr, both on the front-end “app” side and the back-end “server” side. Congratulations to our engineering team of Devin, Will, Ethan and Harish as this release has been a significant amount of work.

Lndr v1.5 has been submitted to the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. If you don’t see the update yet, be sure to check back soon as it can take some time to roll out globally.

Let’s take a look at what’s new with Lndr in v1.5:

Settle Up with a New Settlement Cryptocurrency: Dai Stablecoin

Since the very first version of Lndr, our users have been able to settle up in just one cryptocurrency: Ether (ETH). That changes in Lndr v1.5 with the launch of a new settlement cryptocurrency: Dai Stablecoin (DAI).

Conceived and launched by the team at Maker, Dai is an asset/collateral-backed, decentralized stablecoin that has risen to become one of the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap. As a “stablecoin,” Dai is designed to maintain a stable value, without borders and restrictions. Dai is an Ethereum ERC-20 token which has a value pegged to $1 USD. That means that no matter how many Dai are in existence or how the markets fluctuate, every Dai is worth $1.

Having Dai as a settlement option provides many benefits to Lndr users. For example, you can now settle up in a cryptocurrency without worrying about market fluctuations affecting the price of ETH. You can also split bills or make small loans with friends and family in a cryptocurrency that may be more stable than your country’s own currency.

Dai can be acquired at cryptocurrency exchanges like HitBTC, OasisDEX, Ethfinex, Bancor, Kyber, Bibox, Coinsuper and more. You can transfer Dai to your Lndr wallet address found in the “Settings” section.

We’re excited to offer Dai as the first stablecoin in Lndr — but it won’t be the last. Stay tuned to our updates as we continue to announce new currencies and cryptocurrencies coming to Lndr.

View All Cryptocurrency Wallet Balances in a Single Screen

New cryptocurrencies like Dai are coming to Lndr, which means that your in-app wallet will be getting bigger. To accommodate for these new currencies, we have consolidated all your wallet balances on a single screen.

You will see the new consolidated wallet in the “Settings” screen. Tap “Crypto Balances,” and you will see your ETH, BCPT, DAI and, in the future, other cryptocurrency balances. You can also transfer each cryptocurrency from this screen.

Other Fixes and Features in Lndr v1.5

Along with the major new features announced above, there are some other bug fixes and features to note:

• The “Back” button has been improved to expand its clickable area. This should make it easier to tap.
• On the “Settlement” screen, the “Settlement Type” text now updates correctly.
• Lndr’s back-end server architecture has been completely redeveloped. While users may not notice any changes, this improves Lndr’s performance and scalability into the future.
