In this final update prior to the launch of our Beta, we will disclose more details on what you can expect from us the coming weeks. Additionally, we have some exciting news for you that we haven’t shared with anyone yet!

New Website

Right after the successful completion of our token sale we decided to radically improve our website to be more mature and service-focused. It will be the first point of entry for all our customers and partners, and therefore has to act like a solid information gateway. Our completely new website including our new support page is now online at: https://blockport.io. Go check it out!

If you have any feedback or suggestions with regards to the new website, please feel free to let us know by creating a feedback ticket on our support page.

Blockport 1.0 Beta

As of today, everyone can apply for the Blockport 1.0 Beta on our website! All applicants will be placed on our waiting list and receive a confirmation email. As we explained in last week’s update, we will only allow a small group of first Beta users for testing purposes and the amount of users will be gradually increased.

How it works
The closed Beta period could run anywhere between 2 weeks and 2 months. As long as we believe is needed to ensure a stable, and above all, secure product. During the closed Beta period, our application is only accessible to Beta participants. In this period we will also be publishing explanatory content of our product and its workings so that everyone who is not eligible yet to use the Beta can already see some action.

On-boarding
When it’s your turn to enter the Blockport 1.0 Beta, you will receive a confirmation including your login details and instructions. Once you have successfully signed in, you can go through our KYC process, which consists of three steps:

  1. Fill in your personal details
  2. Upload and verify your ID Document (Passport, ID card or Driver’s license)
  3. Verify facial features (make a selfie in the app with your phone’s camera)

Verifying your account is not mandatory, but we strongly advise you to go through our KYC process because we want to test its performance, also you won’t be able to deposit funds without having a verified account.

Trade five cryptocurrencies
In the past 8 months we have always communicated that the Blockport 1.0 Beta will only support Bitcoin and Ethereum.

However, we managed to list a total of five (5) cryptocurrencies from the start!

You can buy and sell the following cryptocurrencies with Euro in our Beta:

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Ripple (XRP)

Deposits and withdrawals
With regards to the deposit and withdrawal methods, we provide you with an overview of all in- and out transfer possibilities in the Blockport 1.0 Beta below:

Deposit:

  • Euro with SEPA, iDEAL and SOFORT.
  • No cryptocurrencies.

Withdraw:

  • All supported cryptocurrencies.
  • Euro with SEPA.

Depositing cryptocurrencies is not yet available but will be implemented in the near future. For deposits and withdrawals in Euro you can see if your country is supported by checking the table on our “supported countries” page on the website.

Limits and fees
Until now we have not released any exact info regarding our fee schedule and limits yet. For testing purposes, the deposit limits are relatively low and may be increased once we are moving towards our open Beta stage. The total deposit limit is 2500 Euro for a verified account. However, you can increase that limit to 5000 Euro if you are a BPT holder. You can now also find the complete fee schedule on the “Fees” page on the website.

Marketing

Since we are starting with a closed Beta stage, you may not have noticed a lot of marketing activity from us. Investing our resources into product marketing, without offering full access to our beta product is far from effective.

Simply said: our product is not ready enough to handle the influx of new users that intensive marketing may cause. However, at this stage we will focus more on building the Blockport brand.

Eventually, when we move to a public Beta stage, we will be able to handle larger amounts of users, and as a result, our marketing efforts will intensify accordingly. Additionally, we will start the viral access campaign once we feel comfortable to onboard more users.

Next steps

Once we have reached our “Definition of Done” for Blockport 1.0 — by testing and finetuning it extensively — the platform will be opened up to everyone. Moreover, we will be working on the integration of multiple exchanges, development of the social trading features and community platform in the coming months.

In the meanwhile we will keep you updated about the development of our Beta. If you are excited about what we do, please join our community Telegram channel!
