At Blocksmith we build novel concepts and products using state of the art blockchain technologies.

Week in Review

We’ve made our first real contribution to the City of Zion (CoZ)!

Here are the PRs:

  1. We found a security flaw in the Python implementation of the Neo SDK, regarding wallet encryption: https://github.com/CityOfZion/neo-python/pull/214
  2. We’ve made some progress in making the Python compiler for the Neo Virtual Machine compatible with newer versions of Python. This is the first of a series of fixes: https://github.com/CityOfZion/neo-boa/pull/39

The new StackExchange site for NEO blockchain is now on private beta! :tada:

Hopefully it will go into public beta quite soon.

Other stuff

The #2 dApps competition from City of Zion is now open and accepting submittions until February, 25th. We’re highly interested in participating and will be doing some brainstorm sessions in the following days.

Our team found out another great resource for learning about blockchaing development: https://medium.freecodecamp.org/the-authoritative-guide-to-blockchain-development-855ab65b58bc . Be sure to add this to your weekend reading

Be sure to follow us to get future updates.

See you next week!
