Blocksmith — Blockchain development studio

At Blocksmith we build novel concepts and products using state of the art blockchain technologies.

Week in Review

We’ve made our submission to the NEO dApp competition!

This is a project we started on one of our hackathons, and initially was intended to be submitted for the CoZ second dApp competition.
Unfortunately, we missed the deadline, so we redirected our efforts towards this competition. You can read more about this in last week’s post.

The app is a Curriculum Vitae platform that uses NEO blockchain and smart contracts, so that the viewers can automatically verify the validity of certificates, previous employers and other stuff, with all the assurances provided by a public blockchain. Check it out in the Github repository!

Regarding CoZ contributions, this week we were not able to make anything useful for our loved SDKs: neo-python and neo-ruby. Not all of our time can be spent on sharing with the world… especially when business ramps up ;)

Other stuff

Ever wanted to host your own blockchain node in the cloud? Then checkout this quick tutorial. Similarly, check this extensive writing on how to setup a private blockchain network.

Also, Sierra Leone just ran the first blockchain-based election!

Be sure to follow us to get future updates.
See you next week!
