Blockchain Company BLOCKv Chooses Ogilvy as Agency of Record

Collaboration Unites PR, Social and Brand Communications with emerging Blockchain Innovation

BLOCKv, the leading digital object platform for human engagement, has named Ogilvy as its agency of record to help lead its communications program. Ogilvy will focus on public relations activities as well as social and digital campaigns for BLOCKv.

BLOCKv provides a massively scalable platform for the creation of unique digital objects called Vatoms, smart, dynamic experiential assets that engage and motivate consumers. Founded by enterprise technology and blockchain pioneers, BLOCKv provides the user interface for blockchains, enabling developers to build scarce, dynamic digital objects across industries and sectors, including retail, martech, health care, financial services, education, sports and entertainment.

“We chose Ogilvy because of its broad experience in blockchain combined with its vaulted reputation in brand and technology marketing,” said Michael Dobak, CMO of BLOCKv and former CEO of Ogilvy & Mather West. “I’ve also had the unique opportunity to work with both companies and see this becoming a strong partnership in an exciting new industry.”

The BLOCKv platform is now in production for self-service developer access, and already being used by over a hundred developers, major organizations and brands in different verticals, demonstrating that organizations can utilize Vatoms to directly connect emotionally with consumers, while creating long term, value based relationships.

“It is exciting to see first-hand the type of innovation that can be delivered to brands that leverage BLOCKv’s platform,” added Dan La Russo, managing director West Coast. “We have worked with companies across blockchain, Bitcoin and IOT, but BLOCKv has something truly unique with their platform and Vatom technology. BLOCKv represents the future of human engagement.”

Partner update: Greenfence

In July, BLOCKv announced a partnership with Greenfence Consumer who recently used BLOCkv’s platform in a collaboration with Sony Pictures for their Goosebumps 2 release. Marketed through Websaver.ca, the largest Canadian online discount platform, users are invited to play a scratcher game to earn valuable physical prizes and rare digital collectibles. These collectibles are giving rise to a nascent area in blockchain called non-fungible tokens (NFT’s). We believe a market is emerging that is using vAtoms to create and drive demand for NFT use cases. Soon, when these objects can be traded through dynamic exchanges, NFT’s will be bought and sold creating an entirely new way to store and exchange value. Read the full press release here.

BLOCKv and Grammy nominated DJ Sasha meet up at ADE and drop vAtoms

“The BLOCKv platform lets our sponsors and our artists engage in new and meaningful ways with fans — before, during and after a gig in ways that were previously impossible” says Free Your Mind owner Stef Vrolijk. “We’re partnering with BLOCKv to augment ticketing and festival-goer experience for our major dance events in 2019, including the Free Your Mind festival in June which last year saw over 15,000 attendees. Fans are going to love this.”

BLOCKv partners with Stylist for beauty and fashion festival

Next week, leading London fashion & lifestyle magazine, Stylist will host Stylist Live, a three-day festival at London’s Olympia featuring inspiring beauty and fashion trends with well-known labels, independent brands & market experts.

Stylist partnered with BLOCKv to drop two hundred pairs of tickets outside 6 top London media agencies. After receiving one simple email with easy instructions of how to collect the tickets, agency employees took advantage of coffee breaks and lunchtimes to pick up vAtoms from the streets surrounding their offices.

Even with only a single email to each agency’s reception to trigger engagement, the response rate was over 20%, an outstanding engagement result especially if compared to the general click-through rate of 3.69% for agencies industry as reported in the Smart Insight statistics.

This simple initiative gave Stylist the opportunity to demonstrate an incredible innovative technology and to directly engagement with agency clients well before the event date.
