Blockzero Monthly Newsletter #05 | The $HYPE Token Drop Has Started!
Hello Citizens of Earth,
This is your Cryptonaut Captain speaking. We are currently in mid flight of birthing Novas into the galaxy.
If you look outside your rocketship window, you will see the swirly twirly stars formations that will soon be exploding into NFTs that you can collect and share with your friends and fellow cryptonauts. Please refrain from sudden movements as we accelerate towards the center of the universe, you never know what kinds of gravimetric sheer or temporal displacement fields can sneak up on you and can cause dizziness, nausea, forgetfulness of private keys, and sudden urges of FOMO.
…Seriously though, it’s been not-work getting to work at Blockzero for over a year now. When I started at Blockzero my goal was to help improve the accounting and numerical reports provided and created the XLP reporting tools we use on the bz.to website. I enjoy working with math and numbers and recently discovered how much I enjoy working on art and colors, as having helped create the Cryptonauts and their Planets counterparts. My roles at Blockzero have evolved quite a bit, there is so much flexibility to work on what you want to work on, to help where you are best at helping, and to do what you think would be best to make Blockzero and its projects better.
The last few months of working on the ever evolving nature of Novas has been really damn fun. I’ve learned a new programming language library called P5JS that has helped create the Novas, probably the most entertaining library I’ve ever worked with since it has so many math and shapes and color features.
It’s been really awesome getting to see our team grow over the last year, and we’ve maintained a great culture. My impression is that everyone truly enjoys being here, wants to work on what they are working on, and there is plenty of naturally occurring energy and excitement that it’s really hard to not be optimistic about where things are headed. I can’t imagine working anywhere else. All ideas are considered and discussed, anyone can propose anything, anyone can participate in any project meeting they want to, it’s a very open and transparent and inviting environment.

The $HYPE Token Drop has happened! Between May 4th and 7th, 4 waves of drops were done for Cryptonaut and $XIO holders. Go over to Dropzero to claim your tokens. Important: set your wallet to the Avalanche Network to claim the $HYPE tokens.
New Bounty Added!
There’s a new Bounties channel on our Discord, and the first Bounty is already live! 1,000 $XIO will be rewarded for the Citizen who creates the best loom-style video guide or/and writes an article on moving ETH to the Avalanche Network. Make your submission and grab your $XIO!

It has been less than a month since we announced the Hype Club and the progress we made so far is amazing! The first Hype Partners were already announced: Ryan Adams & David Hoffman (Bankless), Hsin-Ju Chaung (Dystopia Labs) and Dawson Botsford (Earnifi). All of them featured on our new show, the Hype Cast, a Web3 growth and marketing podcast focused on Web3 builders. (Check out the playlist on YouTube).
The $HYPE token drop has already begun, with over $50M tokens distributed for Cryptonaut and $XIO holders, and 100M tokens will be earned in the Hype Club Launch Challenge, which happens until May 31st.

Last week we held the second Flashstake Live AMA on our Discord Channel. We had the chance to present the latest updates, discuss the Flash V3 tokenomics and answer some good questions from the community. Over the last few weeks we shared more updates and sneak peaks of the Novas design and concept. Even though the Novas are very much in progress and still subject to change, some sneak peaks and team discussions have already been shared in the Novas Channel on Discord.

We should hopefully be at the tail end of the Vortex devs and we’re targeting internal testing to occur soon. The Blockzero Council are also going through several internal discussions to decide on the launch settings such as liquidity, staking rules, etc, and we can share more of these as they come to fruition.
