Yesterday, for the first time in over a month, I was able to hit the gym.

Fitness is a not only important for my physical health, but it’s something that keeps me mentally sound as well. It’s my stress relief. 60 minutes of my day where I’m so focused on the fact that I’m pushing my body to the absolute max, that I have no mental energy to focus on what’s bothering me or bringing me down.

Factor missing the gym with the stress of a new job plus all this accident stuff, and it was a rough September.

Was I my old self yesterday? Nope. Could I squat, kick, jump, and do burpees with ease like I normally can? Absolutely not.

I was aching (a good ache, not an injured one), slow, stiff, and lifting about 25% of my normal. But I was there. I was back at it, and damn, it felt good. 💪🏼
