Things to Do: a Poem

Laundry needs washing.

Meals need prepped.

Floor needs vacuumed.

Schedules need checked.

Emails need responses.

Cats need to play.

Blogs need editing.

It’s enough to fill the day.

All the while, here I sit.

Coffee in hand, cat at my hip.

I’ll clean, prep, and work in a bit.

But for now I’ll give my coffee
