Canoe Finance joins Dorahacks’ Solana Summer Camp Hackathon
The long hours of work put into building the Canoe V2 Mobile-first Gaming DeFi SDK have finally paid off as Canoe Finance presented it at the Summer Camp Hackathon Applicant Demo Live Stream EP08 on the Dorahacks Youtube channel and on the Binance website.
The Solana Foundation announced the Solana Summer Camp Hackathon, which is an online, global event with up to $5 million in prizes and seed funding. The sixth Solana hackathon ran last July 11 — Aug. 16.
It was open to everyone, and anyone with a project idea was encouraged to register. Solana Summer Camp had a mobile prize track, as well as tracks in Payments, DeFi, Web3, Gaming, and DAOs.
Builders were given chances to promote and learn about their projects at a series of Twitter Spaces featuring talks and workshops from notable developers in the industry. Participants can also sign up for free month-long, in-person co-working spaces hosted by ecosystem projects in cities around the world.
With DoraHack, developers can explore the world of innovation with BUIDLs, with continuous funding, grants, bounties, and hackathons. Projects who are eligible can win and receive up to $65,000USDC and pass to the upcoming Solana conference, where they can get the chance to present their projects to a greater Solana community. Other rewards include $10,000 to $50,000 USDC and exclusive NFTs for different prize categories.
Canoe Finance was proud and thrilled to have their first Canoe mobile gaming v2 SDK presented for Solana Mobile, integrated with All Art Protocol, Jupiter Exchange, and Solana Pay. The Canoe Warrior Game is already live and available for download.
According to Evan Wang, one of the core contributors of Canoe Finance,
“Our philosophy is that we are not only trying to create an economy but an experience, we are trying to create mass adoption by virtue of people actually wanting to play the game not only for the earning potential component but to also have fun. By providing an SDK for mobile and unity, you can now play casual games using your phones. And build a foundation for more nuanced games. And establishing ourselves as the first people who are bringing SDK catered to mobile games.”
We believe that our project has what it takes to win this hackathon. As we await additional rounds of presentations and demonstrations, we will constantly update our community on the latest developments.
