Software update: Add, Copy and Reorder Pages

You haven’t heard from us in a while but we have a very good reason. We’ve been busy building some of your most requested features — we’re really excited to bring you this update. But we know you’re busy people too, so if you only read one part of this blog, it should be this:

• You can now easily add, copy, and reorder individual pages in your notebooks
• There’s a new setup tutorial if you want a features refresh
• We’ve re-introduced the battery percentage
• We roll out updates in stages so sit tight, you’ll get this update within the next 10 days

So, let’s talk about moving pages in a bit more detail. Now you can duplicate pages to reuse content, insert new pages anywhere in a notebook, and even move pages from one notebook to another.

To get started, use the “Page Overview” button in the top right menu of any notebook (the icon with the four squares) and tap the three-dot menu on the page you would like to manage. You’ll find three new icons at the top of your screen: “Add page”, “Move”, and “Duplicate”.

Add pages to complete your notebook

Need to add some extra space for new ideas? No problem. To insert a page into a notebook, tap the “Add page” icon. A new page will appear right after the selected page.

Move pages anywhere

Now you can move pages around in a notebook or from one notebook to another. Tap the “Move” icon to get started, then:

• To move a page within a notebook, choose the area you would like the page to be and tap “Place before” or “Place after” at the top of your screen.
• To move a page from one notebook to another, select the “Move out” icon and move it to a new or existing notebook. You can then choose where you would like to place the page. If you don’t choose a specific page number, the page will be placed at the end of a notebook.

Copy pages for safekeeping

Re-use your favorite template over and over again by making a copy. In fact, you can make a copy of any page in your notebook. You can even experiment with a single page of content in different ways, without ever changing the original.

To make a copy of a page, just tap the “Duplicate” icon. A copy will appear immediately after the chosen page in your notebook.

Other improvements

The battery percentage and updated setup screens have returned. There’s a new device tutorial in your device settings if you want a refresher. And we’ve made a number of smaller fixes and improvements to make your experience smoother.

How to get the latest updates

Connect your reMarkable to Wi-Fi to get the latest update. To get the most out of your device, download the reMarkable apps for PC and mobile and login across all devices. Learn how to download the reMarkable Companion app in this article.

• If you haven’t updated your device in the last few months, charge for at least one hour, and keep it connected to a power source before installing this update.
• Open Settings by tapping the rM icon in the top left corner on the home page.
• Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi in settings.
• Your device will automatically check and download any available updates.
• When the download finishes, restart the device to complete the update.

Feedback and more information

This update will be rolled out to everyone (incrementally) over the next 10 days. Don’t worry if you haven’t received it yet, it’s on its way!
