From Childhood Dream to a Long Journey of Daffa Evan to Become a World Karateka

Most people might think that a child’s dream would not go far from becoming a doctor, a police officer, or a soldier. But not for Daffa Evan Keandra. The boy, who is familiarly called ‘Dapa,’ has dreamed of becoming a professional world karate athlete since he was a child.

Daffa is a boy who was born on September 5, 2007. At a young age, he has a posture that exceeds children his age. Daffa has a height of 180 cm and a weight of 74 kg.

He achieved this proportional body posture through routine training and balanced nutrition intake. Daffa not only practices in his regular agenda but also participates in various other sports activities such as gym and cardio.

Beginning of Daffa’s interest in karate was inspired by his brother, who is also a karate athlete. For this reason, the youngest of three siblings has been participating in routine training at the Shokaido karate school since he was in early childhood education.

Luckily, Daffa has received extraordinary support from both parents to achieve his dream. His parents have facilitated all of Daffa’s needs, starting from everything related to training facilities to balanced nutrition to maintain Daffa’s ideal body posture at his age.

Not only from the family environment but the motivation to become a world-class fighter was also inspired by his idol athletes. They are Sandy Firmansyah and Rafael Aghayev. Until now, Daffa hopes that someday he can practice with both of his idols. Both of them make Daffa enthusiastic and eager to train with them.

Impressive Achievements Since Childhood

Since he was a child until now, sitting in grade 3 of junior high school, Daffa has achieved many achievements. Daffa has won 2nd place in the JAKOF 2022 Open Tournament, 1st place in the “MENPORA CUP” 2022 Open Tournament, and 2nd place in the 2022 Shokaido National Championship. For Daffa, these achievements are not enough. He still wants to continue fighting to become the Champion.

Even in 2023, Daffa wants to once again hold the title of winner in several championships such as the DKI PELATDA Forki Championship, the FORKI National Championship for AKF/SEAKF/WKF Pelatnas, and the 2023 SKIF World Championships in Hungary.

Not only that, but Daffa also targets to participate in various prestigious competitions in the next 5 years, such as the National Sports Week (PON), SEA Games, Asian Games, and SEAKF/AKF/WKF. Of course, he wants to become a champion in various prestigious competitions.

This motivation is a great asset that can bring success in the future. Even since he was a child, Daffa has had a principle that the person who says winning or losing is normal is a person who does not have a fighter’s mentality. And Daffa is not that kind of person.
