Many people think that the strength of athletes lies only in muscle mass or body posture. While both are true, they are not the main factors. In addition to these two factors, the strength of athletes also lies in their mental strength.

The soul is the initial fuel that determines whether an athlete has a fighting spirit or not. The soul also affects athletes who are in the crawling phase and those who are in the phase of rising from defeat. The soul also affects athletes who are already at the peak of their glory.

These two factors are the assets possessed by athletes, including Anisa, Yosef, and Gabril.

Anisa Amalia Yusup (Judo)

This high school student from BPPLOP in Central Java has been interested in Judo since the first grade of elementary school. Her love for the sport is supported by various types of training that have helped her win 19 championships and experience 4 defeats.

Anisa’s achievements are driven by her strict self-discipline. From studying at SMP SKO Solo to being trained at BPPLOP. In addition to receiving special education for athletes, Anisa regularly participates in physical and technical training twice a day.

As a Judo athlete, Anisa needs to strengthen her arm and leg muscles. To achieve this, Anisa has several training methods that she always practices. In addition to training, Anisa also disciplines herself in terms of rest and diet.

Anisa realizes that negligence can hinder her dream of representing Indonesia in the SEA GAMES in the future. That’s why Anisa always evaluates herself and seeks solutions to improve any weaknesses she may have.

Yosef Satria Herpa Nugraha (Swimming)

This athlete from Solo started swimming in the second grade of elementary school. Now, at the age of 16, he has participated in countless swimming competitions, both locally and nationally.

Currently, Yosef has more than 100 medals from every championship title he has won. Yosef’s success in achieving these accomplishments is the result of strict training and self-discipline.

In addition to swimming technique training, Yosef also does running and gym exercises. These additional sports activities make Yosef physically strong. In terms of self-discipline, Yosef always avoids junk food and alcoholic beverages. He always strives to eat foods that adhere to the “4 healthy, 5 perfect” formula.

Self-motivation to be the best is another strength that Yosef possesses. He always sets his hopes as high as possible. He always wants to break his records and even records that have never been broken before.

Gabril Alfarisi (Motocross)

This motocross athlete from Dago started racing when he was in the fourth grade of elementary school. Currently, 12-year-old Gabril is already competing in the 85 CC class.

Gabril’s speed in the 85 CC class is due to his skills and body posture that supports him. Since the beginning, Gabril has often skipped motorcycle classes. He did not follow the basic class stages in the 50 CC class and just passed the Pro 65 CC class. All of this is due to his exceptional talents.

Among Gabril’s other strengths is his family who always supports him in every situation. His four siblings, who are former motocross racers, often give Gabril advice. In addition, his parents always make every effort to ensure that Gabril can smoothly pursue his career in this field.

In addition to Gabril’s strengths, he also follows various training routines. Usually, in the morning, Gabril goes to the gym to train his arm muscles to control the handlebar balance in every arena.

From the afternoon until the evening, Gabril will train directly on the racetrack. It is during these direct training moments that Gabril will analyze how far his balance and strength can take him.
