Surya Pringga’s Dream: From NYXS Dream Team to Real Madrid Academy
Surya Pringga, a young football player who has caught the attention of talent scouts. At the age of 12, he is considered to have abilities above average for his age group.
Surya’s improvement in his abilities is quite surprising. He only started playing football in the last two years. Before that, the eldest of two siblings had tried his hand at athletics, specifically running. Surya even tasted championship wins in this sport.
However, his parents later encouraged him to start practicing football after receiving advice from a colleague. Moreover, there was a well-known football school, Serpong Jaya, not far from his home. Surya agreed to his parent’s advice and started practicing football when he turned 10.
The decision to practice football was a good one. In just two years, Surya has achieved a series of impressive achievements.
Joining the NYXS Dream Team
Thanks to Surya’s achievements, he was selected as a member of the NYXS Dream Team Indonesia to compete in the TicTac Cup in Barcelona in 2022. Interestingly, Surya was selected without going through a selection process, but a NYXS talent scout saw him play well on the field.
Aiming for Real Madrid Academy
Like most young football players, Surya also has a favorite club, Real Madrid. He is determined to be able to enter the academy of the La Liga giant club someday. However, before learning in Spain, Surya wants to enter the Special Sports School (SKO) Ragunan in 2023.
His mother, Citra Mayangsari, said she would continue to support her son’s aspirations. Especially after entering the SSB, there is a positive change in her son’s behavior.
“Since entering the SSB, there has been a sense of responsibility. Discipline is also there. Before the SSB, he played with his phone even though he was told to stop. But now he doesn’t anymore and his eating habits have changed,” said the mother.
Interestingly, Surya, who plays as a right-back, actually has a goalkeeping idol. He is Persebaya Surabaya’s goalkeeper, Ernando Eri. Nevertheless, Surya also idolizes several former Real Madrid defenders such as Sergio Ramos and Pepe.
In addition to joining the Real Madrid academy and playing there, Surya Pringga also has a dream of representing the Indonesian national team. He also has a message for his peers not to easily give up on their dreams and always believe in the process they are going through.
