One of the grateful attitudes towards the bestowed gifts is maximizing every blessing received. Such an attitude is adopted by two Indonesian athletes named Dinda and Laura.

Both have been striving to maximize the function of their legs to win every competition. Here is a brief story of the two.

Dinda Putri Lestari

Dinda is a Taekwondo athlete who recently brought home a bronze medal from the 2023 SEA Games. At the age of 22, Dinda has achieved numerous accolades in various competitions. The number of medals she has brought home is countless.

It all started with Dinda’s parents’ desire for their children not to waste their time in their early years. Since elementary school, Dinda has been involved in various sports activities such as volleyball, basketball, and taekwondo. However, it wasn’t until junior high school that Dinda began to seriously delve into taekwondo as her beloved sport.

Since participating in her first competition in the 2nd grade of junior high, Dinda immediately won a silver medal. Thanks to her achievement, Dinda wants to continuously push herself to become a professional taekwondo athlete.

With a height of 175 cm, Dinda is fortunate to have long legs. She is grateful that God has bestowed her with this advantage.

That’s why Dinda always trains the strength of her muscles, aiming to increase her power. The last time Dinda measured the strength of her legs, she was able to push a weight of approximately 140 kg with her legs.

Currently, Dinda is preparing herself for upcoming national and international competitions. According to her, a world-class taekwondo athlete doesn’t just rely on physical prowess alone but also utilizes their mental abilities. Both aspects must work together harmoniously to be able to defeat opponents in every arena.

Laura Dinda Yanatasya

Laura is a renowned sepak takraw athlete on Instagram and TikTok. She has millions of followers on her social media accounts. Laura has achieved popularity because of her numerous medals in national and international competitions.

Laura is grateful to be born into a family of sepak takraw athletes. That’s why sepak takraw is a culture that is deeply ingrained in Laura’s life.

In the early stages of her journey, Laura started training in sepak takraw in the 3rd grade of elementary school. However, she wasn’t serious about becoming a professional athlete at that time. Laura’s determination to become an athlete grew when she won a bronze medal in the 6th grade of elementary school.

As a woman who made history in sports in Jambi, particularly in the sport of sepak takraw, Laura brought home a bronze medal when she participated in the PON Papua 2021. She became a hero for Jambi as it had been 20 years since Jambi won a medal in the sport of sepak takraw.

With a height of 160 cm, Laura has sufficiently long legs that have helped her win various competitions. In fact, with her remarkable talent, Laura became a teammate of her idol, Lena Leni, at the King’s Cup Sepaktakraw World Championship in 2022.

Until now, Laura continues to train diligently because she wants to pursue her unachieved goals. She strongly desires to be part of the national training center and participate in the SEA Games the following year.

Furthermore, with her impressive list of achievements, Laura aspires to work at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. She hopes that her knowledge and sports experience can contribute to the improvement of the sports world in Indonesia in the future.

That’s why to this day, Laura continues to strive to balance her academic and non-academic achievements.
