It will be one of those days when everything doesn't go the way you wanted it to be that you curse yourself for the life you have and the last thing you do is thinking about something to get the misery out. Everyone has those days, some crib about it while some do something about it.

Not all days are happy in your life and you know it better than anyone which applies to everyone which in turn means everyone knows it. If everyone were to crib about those ‘not-so-happy’ days, we’d be have a very few role models.

So what to expect out of this life? Definitely not happiness I would say. Happiness comes to you when you’re least bothered about it; so is success which is correlated to happiness. Why not happiness? Because if you do you’ll be busy looking for it that you won’t find one.

“Do your Duty and don’t expect the result. You’re entitled to your action, not the fruits of action.” — Lord Krishna in Gita

What you should expect is the unexpected situations you will get into. Everything’s changing and everything that changes has it’s effect on other things related to it or dependent on it. You should expect the unexpected unless you have control over the change which is not possible. And you’ll be more happy because of this unexpectedness rather than getting what you expect by which your life would be monotonous.

Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect.” — Margaret Mitchell

Imagine the world with everything in order. How routine it’ll be! Doing the same thing everyday. The world is programmed to adapt change not to change. As a saying goes, ‘ a calm sea never made a skilled sailor’, with effort to adapt does we become good at what we do. We do what we’re good at, we adapt to the changes we see. This is to be expected from life and that is the making of life!
