Since the launch of Artos as the commercial arm of the Aventus Protocol Foundation last month, things have hardly been quiet: we’ve got new team members, a jam-packed events schedule (this week finds us at TicketingBusiness Forum), and last week held our own industry roundtable to explore the challenges affecting live music ticketing (more on findings from that later this week!).

The biggest news, though, is the first release of the Aventus protocol source-code.

What is the Aventus Protocol?

The mission of the Aventus Protocol Foundation is to transform ticketing by creating a secure supply-chain that eradicates counterfeiting and prioritises rights-holder control over secondary markets.

The Foundation has today announced that it is making available the source-code for the first release of its global, open-source protocol built upon the Ethereum network. The protocol defines and controls how tickets are managed and interacted with throughout the ticketing lifecycle.

What is Artos?

Artos is your bridge to blockchain: we bring the power of the Aventus protocol to ticketing organisations and rights-holders. Our SaaS offering is designed to handle all cryptocurrency interactions associated with the Aventus ecosystem, lowering the barriers to entry for ticketing organisations who wish to gain the benefits of the blockchain but lack the in-house technical expertise or want an experienced guiding hand.

With our deep understanding and knowledge of both blockchain technology and the ticketing industry, we provide an invaluable perspective to companies taking their first steps in this new space.

Our Services

We will work with you to facilitate the storage and delivery of your ticketing inventory onto the blockchain via our REST API, releasing them for sale according to your chosen parameters.

We also provide a dedicated ticket wallet in order to facilitate secure resale and transfer of tickets on the blockchain. This can be integrated into your existing ticketing apps or white-labelled and used as a standalone product.

The Future

We will be working closely with the ticketing industry to identify current and future requirements, and translate these into new SaaS services, including the ability to distribute tickets through micro-sales channels (e.g. influencers, streaming platforms), and ability to create whitelists for approved resellers.

Over the coming months, we will continue to hold an open dialogue with the ticketing industry, helping us to identify new areas of investment and challenges that need solving.

To join the conversation, you can connect with us on all the usual social sites: Twitter, Medium, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
