Today, Quora launched a new feature where you can share any external link with your followers.

The process of sharing a link the straightforward. Just click on “Add question or link” on the top menu, and a post box will pop up. Select the ‘Share link” tab. Here you can enter the link and say something related to it. Finally, click on the “share link” button and it will be shared with your profile followers.

This new ‘share link’ feature may seem a little out the box for many long-time quora users. However, if you connect the dots, this move by quora is not much unpredictable. After all, Quora’s founder Adam D’Angelo is an ex-employee of Facebook, the biggest social network in the world. And it can be said that Quora has inherited this feature from Facebook.

How can this ‘Share link’ feature affect the Quora’s future?

The new share link option will definitely boost the sociality of Quora and elevate its status from just another question and answer (Q&A) forum to a social networking platform. Now, even people who do not contribute much by writing answers can share links with followers and connect with the platform and other users.

However, the biggest question that is coming in the mind of every Quoran right now is whether Quora will become another Facebook with tons of spammy links by marketers trying to promote their websites or products.

How Quora will manage the quality of contents and prevent the user’s news feed from too many irrelevant links is still to be tested…

Anyways, if you’ve not used this new feature of Quora, then go and try yourself. Cheers!!
