1. Medium’s Monthly Active Readers — 100 Million

2. Medium’s Domain Authority — 95

Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). A Domain Authority score ranges from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater ability to rank.
Medium’s 95 Domain authority makes it a force to be reckoned with when it comes to competition among otherwise equal pages in search engines.
3. Medium’s Alexa Rank (Global Internet Traffic and Engagement Over the Past 90 Days) — 88

Alexa rank is a measure of website popularity. It ranks millions of websites in order of popularity, with an Alexa Rank of 1 being the most popular. Alexa Rank reveals how a website is doing relative to all other sites, which makes it a great KPI for benchmarking and competitive analysis. Alexa rank is calculated using a proprietary methodology that combines a site’s estimated traffic and visitor engagement over the past three months. Traffic and engagement are estimated from the browsing behavior of people in our global panel, which is a sample of all Internet users.
Medium’s rank of 88 means it is the 88th most popular website by traffic in the world!
4. Paying Subscribers— Between 200,000 and 400,000
Williams declined to say how many paying subscribers Medium has, but a person familiar with the matter told Cheddar that the number is between 200,000 and 400,000 subscribers.
5. Total Venture Capital — $132 Million

Medium has raised $132 million across three funding rounds. Founder, Ev Williams has stated that “they do not need additional funding right now, but are not worried when it comes to raising money in the future.”
6. Mobile Traffic — 68%

68 percent of the traffic Medium.com receives is through mobile devices. This is significant because it shows that the general trend of traffic (increased mobile usage compared to desktop) is working in Medium’s favor. Medium articles are optimized for mobile devices, a major advantage over many traditionally self published sites.
7. Percent of traffic derived directly from search results — 49.56%

Nearly half of all Medium traffic originates directly from a search result. So, not only does Medium have a large, built-in audience but it also has considerable rank when it comes to keyword searches.
