Review of Medium’s New Publication Features and Writer Profile Redesign

A few months ago, Medium announced that they were making Medium “more expressive” and that several new features would be implemented.
Chief among these changes was the launching of controls around color, headers, type, and branding so that you can personalize your space on Medium.
As part of this, Medium invited a number of writers to sign up for a private (and then public) beta test which allowed writers to control the layout and visual appearance of their publication.
I opted to test 2 of my publications in the early private beta program — Digital Marketing Lab and Escaping The 9–5.
