Welcome to the next generation of influencer marketing. This is the launch of the second installment of Bloglovin’s Micro-Influencer Marketing Primer, 2016 Micro-Influencers & Omni-Social Strategy (download full report here).

We decided to take a closer look at micro-influencers, the blogs and social channels they use to drive engagement, and how they connect with industries and audiences. That said, we analyzed 2,500 US-based micro-influencers’ blogs across social channels, looking at six key categories: DIY, Fashion & Beauty, Food, Lifestyle & Home, Parenting, and Travel. Take a quick look at a few of our key insights below:

  • Travel and Fashion Dominate Instagram With Over 5,000 Average Followers Each
  • DIY and Food Are Most Popular On Pinterest With 2x The Followers As Other Industries
  • Food Performs Strong Across the Board With Double The Monthly Unique Visitors on Blogs
  • Twitter and Blogs Stay Strong Amongst Parenting Influencers Boasting 2x the Followers Of Other Verticals
2016 Micro-influencers and Omni-Social Strategy

The general trend that there is to be said about omni-social strategy is that certain verticals gravitate towards distinct social channels based on their features. Learn more about this trend and what it means for brands with the full version of our research. Again, it is available to download here.
