Go Niche: 64% of Digitally Savvy Women Follow Influencers on Social Media For Niche Topics
Niche topics are it! According to Bloglovin’s November 2016 We Asked, They Answered: Global Power of Influencers Survey:
64% of respondents follow influencers on social media for niche topics. The survey probed more than 20,000 digitally savvy women across the globe to reveal niche topics as the number one reason to follow influencers, beating out life inspiration and beautiful pictures among other reasons.
So what does this mean for brands? They should not shy away from going niche. Niche topics create highly engaged communities that allow for more specific, targeted marketing opportunities, especially amongst micro-influencers who tend to have more engaged communities from the start.
