ACTIVATE would be nothing without the dedication of our team, the creativity and work of our renowned clients, and the passion of the influencers we have had the opportunity to engage with. As a result, we are taking COVID-19 seriously and have put all necessary precautions in place to protect those closest to us throughout this global pandemic. We understand that this is a scary time for both brands and influencers alike. We want to reiterate our commitment to supporting our community of clients, creators, partners and beyond.

While we’re uncertain what the future may exactly hold, we are certain of two things.

  1. It is extremely important that you follow and share information from credible sources, such as https://www.who.int/ or https://www.cdc.gov/
  2. While it’s vital to self-quarantine and social distance to protect ourselves from the spread of COVID-19, finding points of connection is incredibly important during extended periods of isolation.

As social creatures, it’s natural to feel disjointed, lonely, and a variety of other emotions during an uncertain time in the world. Social distancing doesn’t need to happen digitally and it certainly shouldn’t stop anyone from sharing virtual hugs or spreading kindness online.

In order to promote positivity during this unique time in our world’s history, ACTIVATE is inviting our clients, influencer community, friends and family to participate in a social media challenge to inspire the continuation of person-to-person connection, virtually.

Using our #ProtectAndConnect Instagram Story templates, we encourage you to virtually introduce two people in your network that you think would really hit it off or who could benefit from each other right now. Suggest they plan a phone call or video chat to get to know each other from the comfort of their home.

Consider introducing:

  • Friends who’ve never met
  • A teacher to a mom who could use a pep talk
  • A small business owner to a fellow small business owner
  • A coworker to a roommate

We hope this challenge will be a small respite and reminder that it’s okay to find joy during hard times too. Remember, positivity is infectious!

Stay home and stay healthy,

The ACTIVATE Team
