New Influencer Pinterest Profile

We’ve introduced a new Pinterest tab on influencer profiles for creators who have connected their Pinterest account. The new tab shows the influencer’s recent pins, most popular Pinterest boards, and in-depth audience engagement metrics such as average saves, closeups, click throughs, and more!

Expanded Collaboration Metrics

With the new Pinterest API integration, we’re now able to showcase more metrics that give you a better idea of how your Pinterest campaign is performing.

In addition to the standard metrics you receive on pins like “saves” and “comments,” we also show you how many “click throughs,” “close ups,” and “impressions” the pin received. Whether you’re using Pinterest to drive clicks to a blog post, video, or product website, knowing the “click throughs” and “impressions” gives you a stronger idea of how strong the content and the influencer are converting.

Content Exploration: Keyword Search

Curious if an influencer has posted Pinterest content in a specific category or vertical? Search for topics or keywords via our Content Exploration tool to surface relevant Pinterest posts from that creator. We highly recommend using our Content Exploration feature to make sure that you’re casting the most relevant Pinterest influencers.

Crafting your Pinterest Strategy

Pinterest is an essential ingredient to the overall influencer marketing mix for brands in the CPG, wellness, or broader lifestyle space. If you’re thinking of integrating Pinterest in your influencer marketing, here are some key considerations from our ACTIVATE Studio team:

  • We recommend syndicating content to Pinterest thanks in part to its significantly longer content shelf life over competing platforms
  • While other platforms half life range from minutes to a few days at most, Pinterest content can have a shelf life of up to 3 ½ months
  • It’s important to note that Pinterest users start searching for holiday gift ideas twice as early consumers on other platforms. We recommend that you allocate 3–4 months lead time for optimal campaign planning and start planning as early as August. Remember that holiday content should be posted on Pinterest as early as September for it to show up during Q4, the platform’s highest performing season.
  • Pro tip: Niche boards on the platform largely outperform general interest boards!
