It should take less time to vet influencer-fit when hiring for campaigns. Spending hours per influencer, going through each of their entire feeds, searching for relevant content to your campaign, multiplied by every potential influencer under the sun that might be a fit — this doesn’t leverage technology to make your life easier.

Discover Relevant Content

Influencer marketers can use the Content Exploration tool to better understand if the creator would be a good fit for their activation. From custom hashtags, to keywords, to geo-tags, here are just a few ways to use this powerful tool:

Vertical Relevancy

  • Search for topics or keywords related to your brand or campaign to find whether the creator has discussed a topic recently or has displayed relevant interests. When you get granular with your keyword search, you may be surprised at the amount of unique and related content you’ll find.
  • For example, if you’re a fitness brand trying to promote a sneaker launch, you can search for keywords such as “running,” “workout,” “fitness,” “marathon,” “exercise,” and many more.
  • You can also search your brand name to see if the influencer has organically mentioned you in their social posts in the past. It’s always a good idea for brands to work with creators who already know and love their products!

Branded Content

  • A few weeks ago, we started surfacing Instagram Sponsored Post % on our influencers’ profiles. While it’s good to utilize that metric to vet influencers, we also encourage marketers to dive a little deeper into the sponsored content.
  • Save time by searching for #ad or #sponsored instead of clicking through multiple posts from the creator’s social media profile. Our tool will easily display the influencer’s branded content across all their social platforms. This will give you a better idea of who they collaborated with most recently, which verticals dominate their partnerships, and which platform is their strongest for collaborations.

Competitive Research

  • Do a keyword, hashtag, or handle search for your competitor brands to see if the creator has worked with them in the past or is a fan of their products.
  • Whether the competitor posts are organic or branded, it’s a good way for you to gather some intel on how influencers are reacting to your competitors and their content strategy.

Location Search

  • Surface specific geo-tag posts by searching anything from city, to a restaurant name, to a museum to see if the creator has ever been there!
  • Geo-tag search is great if you’re running an event activation thats supposed to take place at a city or promoting a specific location (i.e. The Getty Museum).

Brand Safety

  • Influencers you partner with become the face of your brand to their audience. The Content Exploration tool can also be used as a brand safety capability. Search for any words or phrases you want to avoid association with (i.e. strong political affiliations) to ensure this influencer is on brand.

Top 5 Hashtags

Unsure what keywords, hashtags, or geo-tags you want to search in the tool? You can also find “Top 5 Hashtags” on influencer’s Instagram tab to see what their most used hashtags are the past 90 days. To see the content, simply click into each hashtag and you’ll be directed to posts that match that hashtag across all their social platforms.

Some influencers use their own creator-branded hashtags or are part of long-term ambassadorship programs so this is a great way to gain more insight into the influencer’s brand.

Featured Content Preview

Every post on Content Exploration can be opened into a pop-up for you to learn more about the post’s caption and performance. If it’s an Instagram post, you will be able to view Instagram stats and if it’s a YouTube post, you will be able to play the video right from our site and see YouTube-related engagement metrics to understand how the influencer’s content performs.

If you wanted to explore the influencer’s content even further, you can click out from the pop up and be led directly to the influencer’s social platform profile.
