Today, we’ve launched a new add compensation feature that will further empower brands to execute and scale their campaigns, while allowing valuable influencers to earn more money. Here are some strategies and reasons why campaign managers are changing influencer compensation mid-way through the collaboration.

Reimbursing for Product Purchases

If you’re running a collaboration that requires the influencer to purchase product(s) from your brand to try out and review, it can be a headache to manage reimbursements for each influencer. Our influencer community has also told us that sometimes they are hesitant about purchasing the product before receiving compensation from the brand first.

With our add compensation feature, you can add the exact reimbursement amount for each influencer as part of their overall compensation for the campaign. From the influencer’s point of view, they will receive an automated message about the adjusted compensation immediately on the platform and be assured that they can purchase the products and receive guaranteed payment later.

Content Boosting

If a piece of content just went live and is organically performing spectacularly, you can work with the influencer to set dollar amount to boost that piece of content. The brand will potentially receive more engagement, reach, and or conversions from their target audience and the influencer gets the chance to promote their content and account for free. Win win for both!

Incentivizing for Performance

Creating a performance-based incentives structure at the beginning of the collaboration will set goals for influencers and motivate them to think strategically and creatively on how to reach their audience. These performance metrics can be based on a variety of KPIs — impressions (unique or total), link clicks, sales conversions (promo code usage, purchases made). We’d recommend that you stay away from the usual likes and comments when setting these metrics as they can be more easily ‘gamed’.

Change in Scope of Work
