SpaceChain’s new office in MENA

SpaceChain announced the opening of its UAE office in Abu Dhabi to mark its foray into the burgeoning space sector in the Middle East. Incorporated and operated under the legal entity of SpaceChain MENA Ltd, the new office is located at Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, where the company will spearhead the planning and development of integrated space-blockchain projects and initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

AstroLabe Career Forum

SpaceChain CCO Nick Trudgen was at AstroLabe Career Forum, a two-day hybrid career event dedicated to Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi’s students and alumni that covers areas including recruitment, employability, and entrepreneurship.

The event aims to empower its students and alumni by helping them engage with industry leaders and providing effective career guidance.

World Defense Show

Earlier in March, SpaceChain CCO and co-founder of SpaceChain MENA attended the World Defense Show in Riyadh where he participated in conferences, seminars, live demonstrations, and exhibits. The event is founded by Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Military Industries, and showcases the latest technological developments around the world. It also demonstrates defense interoperability across all domains such as space, security, land, sea and air.

A Decentralized Satellite Infrastructure

SpaceChain is creating the platform in a decentralized application where people sign up using their blockchain wallet. We are also talking to different satellite companies to open the application interface to our platform. Then any user with a blockchain wallet can easily acquire data on the platform. TECHNICAL PROGRESS

Software test

This month, our team completed the transaction test for our customer Velas on the Spire’s satellite successfully. It included the signature of transactions and NFT minting in orbit.

SpaceChain handheld device development

Our team confirmed the development plan for the handheld device. We are working on the feasibility verification of the handheld device terminal to determine whether the terminal device has the ability to run the blockchain software. The procurement of hardware is still in progress.
