BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Collaborating on sustainable development initiatives

CEO Cliff Beek was invited by Dr. Khaled Al-Abdulkader, CEO of the National Center for Vegetation Coverage for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to participate in a special meeting at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. This meeting coincided with the 2024 Political Forum on Sustainable Development.

The agenda centered on a collaborative effort to leverage SC Solutions’ AI innovation to enhance environmental and agricultural achievements. Key discussions included the analysis of naturally genetically strong and resilient plants that can effectively combat climate change on a global scale.

Cliff expressed his enthusiasm for sharing unique AI analytics and emphasized the potential to support the Kingdom with advanced space technologies, paving the way for next-generation ‘super agri-tech’ initiatives. This partnership aims to address pressing environmental challenges and promote sustainable agricultural practices.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

Paving the way for space agriculture

With SpaceX’s recent Starship success, humanity is moving toward establishing a space-based biosystem, making plant cultivation in space vital for sustaining life and conducting research.

The Advanced Plant Habitat (APH) on the ISS, the largest automated plant growth facility, advances space agriculture.

SC Solutions is also at the forefront of these innovations with our AI-driven product, Botanic Analyser, which supports plant growth in harsh conditions, including space.

Join us in driving innovation and sustainability from Earth to space. Together, we can create thriving ecosystems in the most challenging environments.

Tackling desertification with AI

Desertification, worsened by climate change, deforestation, and unsustainable practices, affects millions by degrading soil, reducing biodiversity, and causing water scarcity.

We are happy to share that we are addressing this issue with the Botanic Analyser to promote plant growth even in extreme conditions. We are using satellite imagery to support efforts to restore vegetation in Saudi Arabia.

TECHNICAL PROGRESS

Promoting climate-resilient vegetation

Did you know that we are utilizing advanced remote sensing technology to identify and propagate genetically robust vegetation? Our innovative methods aim to support sustainable agriculture and enhance environmental resilience in the face of climate change.

Testing the Tethys

The technical team continued with the second phase of testing and development for the Tethys handheld device. The focus was on comprehensive testing and refinement to improve the device’s functionality and performance.

Preparing for the space node launch

The technical team is also preparing to deploy a new space node on the ISS. Research and documentation are underway to enhance the node’s features, including constellation communication between the ISS and satellites. Additionally, the team is progressing with the application process for the necessary satellite communication license.
