“Yuxi llegó recién a Medellín y estaba consiguiendo recursos activamente. Me contactaron y me ofrecieron una buena oportunidad. Estaba muy nueva, no es la sombra ni de lo que es ahora. Cuando entré habían 10 o 15 personas”.
“Yuxi contacted me when I arrived to Medellín. The offer was really good. Yuxi wasn´t as big as it is now. When I started to work here, there were only 15 employees”

“Yo siempre fui rockero y peludo, en mi casa siempre han sido muy tradicionales. Esa era la mayor pelea. Yo quería ser antropólogo, luego músico, luego historiador, luego Publicista. Mi papá me tramó con un cuento: De todas las que me dijiste me suena Publicidad y Mercadeo, te la pago solo sí te presentas este semestre a la Universidad de Antioquia. Yo le caí en la trampa, me presenté y pasé”

“I’ve always been a rocker with long hair, at home they’ve always been very traditional. I wanted to be anthropologist, then musician, historian, and then publicist. My dad told me: “From all of the careers you mentioned, I could only pay Marketing and Advertising, but first you have to apply to Antioquia’s University” So I agreed, I applied… and I was admitted!”

“He tenido una evolución muy orgánica, comencé como un desarrollador intermedio mid level developer y fui creciendo porque siempre me fue bien con el inglés y siempre tuve esa disposición con los clientes, me pedían que estuviera en las reuniones porque así se hacía más fácil la comunicación con ellos. Luego pasé a ser senior developer y luego líder de proyectos”

“I have had a very organic evolution. I started like a mid-level developer and continue growing because I was good ar English so I could have a good communication with the clients. I started to take the meetings with them to get better the communications. After that, I became a senior developer, and then a team leader”.

Ahora soy Project Manager, me gustó, me encarretó el cuento, yo soy de esos ingenieros raros que me gustan escribir, documentar y leer, entonces se me dio esta parte de la gerencia de proyectos. Ya me he preparado, ya estoy certificado y ahí voy dándole hace dos años a esto. En este momento estoy certificándome como Scrum Máster y Product owner”

“I’m a project manager now, and I really like it, I’m the kind of weird engineer who likes writing, reading and documenting, so project management became my thing. I’ve been doing this for two years. At the moment I am getting a certification in Scrum Master and Product Owner”

“Hay dos retos para cumplir en Yuxi: uno de ellos es estar a la altura de la gente talentosa que llega aquí, y el otro es minimizar esa brecha cultural que hay entre muchos clientes, pues muchos de ellos no conocen a fondo nuestro trabajo y cómo lo hacemos”

“Siempre le digo a los compañeros que hay que crecer, porque hay gente que llega a la zona de confort y se sienten muy felices. Uno no se debe quedar ahí. En Yuxi existe la posibilidad de crecer, más que tengamos la capacidad de abrir cargos, hay posibilidad de hacer carrera y desarrollarse”

“Me gusta mucho salir con mis amigos, hago deporte pero no me gusta el gimnasio, juego fútbol, monto bicicleta por la noche y los viernes es un día de amigos y cerveza”

“I like to go out with my friends, exercise but not in the gym, I play soccer, and I ride bicycle in the nights. Fridays nights belong to friends and beer”

“Yuxi es un parche, primero el espacio es muy bonito, la gente es genial y la filosofía de Yuxian es una nota “venga, haga su trabajo y sóllesela”
