As I wrote back in October, at Blokur we have been working hard to offer the most possible value to music publishers and music users alike.

Over the last year, we have seen Blokur used to clear rights for TV shows, record releases and digital streaming projects, helping music users to save time, and getting writers and publishers paid.

I’m pleased to announce that as of today, we are now offering a new free tier of Blokur Search to allow anybody to search our song database.

Blokur Search

Blokur Search lets you access global rights information for millions of songs on a single platform, helping you clear rights faster and more easily. The platform has data for more than 25,000 different music publishers and over half a million songwriters, with new data being added every day.

Start by simply typing in your search query. Then, once you’ve used the filters to nail down the song you are looking for, click on the song title to view the details for the song, including performance, mechanical and sync rights, linked recordings, and writer and publisher information. The free version of Blokur Search will let you try out unlimited searches, but once you find the right song, it will limit the number of songs you view to 20 every month.
