A Call for Concept Driven Packages

Blop Culture is determined to redefine the way popular culture is presented, analyzed and discussed in America. More specifically, we believe that:

Beyonce can teach us just as much about wealth creation as Warren Buffet

The Rock can teach us just as much about taking care of ourselves as Dr. Oz

Kendrick Lamar can teach us just as much about prose as Shakespeare

With this in mind, we seek pitches for packages of 3–6 stories in the following concept areas (though we are very open to package concepts that aren’t on this list):

1. Deconstructing the philosophy of Hip Hop artists via their music and actions: Nas, Jay-Z, Beyonce, 50 cent, Cardi B, Drake, etc.
2. The Business of Hip Hop: bringing in-depth understanding of the money flows, marketing, research and development etc. of the hip hop business
3. Profiles of the Most Prominent POC social media influencers
4. (Mental) Health and Wellness in the POC community: what works and what’s nonsense?
5. The Business of Basketball: understanding the money flows, marketing, research and development etc. of the NBA, WNBA, NCAA etc…
6. Fashion: who are the movers and shakers of fashion in the POC community?
7. Data Science, AI, Machine Learning: how do POC communities use these tools to empower themselves?

Depending on the volume, scope, and expected quality of the proposed packages we are prepared to pay writer(s) between $150-$1000. If you want to write all the stories in your proposed package that’s fine, though we also encourage you to collaborate with other domain experts when it makes sense!
