Don’t Be Consumed By Bitterness or Resentment
Such a person brings nothing of value to the table
Spend any time on the Internet or social media, and you’re bombarded with rage and anger. It’s all around us. Some persons or some groups are always upset — outraged — about something. And they want everyone to know about it — and be outraged with them.
Spend any time here on Medium, and you’ll see a parade of articles that stir up grievances — articles that give us reasons to wring our hands or vent our spleen.
The human brain isn’t designed for that much stimulation. And no cohesive society can endure it in the long run.
Here’s the reality: People are problematic.
Wherever you have people, you’ll have problems.
No human being is perfect. No group, movement, party, or nation-state is free from sin, scandal, or sorrow. You will never find a perfect country or community. There will always be problems. There will always be issues or events that warrant attention, cause anxiety, or stir up conflicts.
Always.
You have to pace yourself and pick your battles.
When you do “battle” crises or challenges, you must do so with wisdom, self-awareness, and patience.
