Until 2021, I’d enjoyed a good relationship with Sprint Mobile.

We went for long walks on the beach together, and snapped photos of gorgeous scenery. We shared deep, beautiful moments. If my wi-fi acted like a jerk? No problem. Sprint’s mobile hotspot had my back. And my calls always rang with crystal clarity.

But nothing good lasts forever.

After over a decade together, Sprint began love-bombing me with luxurious perks like free phone upgrades and a free Hulu subscription. I thought I could trust Sprint Mobile. I thought my phone company and I were — sob — in love. We’d spent enough time together that I let down my guard. I didn’t realize the gifts were warning signs.

I didn’t know the phone company I’d poured so many trusting years into — again, Sprint Mobile, in case I didn’t make it clear — would screw me over. I didn’t know they could wreck my social and professional life for months on end without any rectification.

I didn’t know.

However, in April 2020, I discovered my beloved Sprint had merged with T-Mobile. Would Sprint customers then become full T-Mobile
