Why did you choose to use AI? I liked your title, but once I see the image I scroll on by.

I’ve kept this opinion to myself for a long time. Who cares what one reader thinks? But I’m also a writer who wonders what makes people click? If there is something small and changeable I’m doing which alienates potential readers, I’d want to know.

Maybe you think your AI generated art attracts more readers than it loses? You could be right. I can only tell you why it repels me.

Solidarity among creatives

Getting paid for my writing enables me to write more and the more I write the better writer I become. Same is true for artists. AI art has devastated the market for new artists learning their craft.

Soon most of the art on the internet will be AI generated and we’ll face the classic children’s game of telephone where increasing errors creep in as the message goes down the line.
