A lot of people are talking about age these days. Talk about age has been amplified by the fact that our nation has an 81-year-old President and a 78-year-old candidate for President on the other side.

However you feel about octogenarians in the White House…

Please don’t marginalize, disrespect, or devalue the older people in your life.

Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, and (if you have a shred of compassion, sympathy, or empathy) this should especially be the case for those who are a little more vulnerable or who have a little more difficulty in their life.

Not only that, but…

Older people still have value to offer.

Americans see the evident cognitive decline in some political leaders. I fear that they are, as a result of that, concluding that old people are a problem.

Older people are NOT a problem!
