Wow! It is May! A proverb says “April showers bring May flowers… and the very first decentralized mobility app (dApp) in Nigeria. We are excited that the bloXmoveNG team will launch the new driver and user applications this month. We understand how much you have waited for this moment, and we have done our best to make this worthwhile.
A look back to the starting line
The Nigeria project got registered on the 16th of May, 2022, with the official registration of bloXmoveNG as Decentralized Mobility Limited. Since we started the Nigerian project, we have been working to deliver products that will revolutionize mobility in Nigeria. We will launch the much-awaited product to the Nigerian market this month.
The collaboration with you — our BLXM community
Two weeks ago, we concluded the community as well as local beta test programs and announced the winners and rewards. A further testing round is planned for the community members due to the high interest. The idea of having more community members participate in the beta test program is to reward our esteemed community and seek more feedback, as feedback would never be too much. This beta test will not affect our launch timeline because the beta test d(app) will run on the development environment, while the go-to-market d(app) will run on the live environment. So they both run simultaneously.

Bug fixing is done!
To let you know what we have done after the beta program, the bugs that were uncovered are now fixed. All the functionalities some of you used in test mode during the beta test program are now live. Our infrastructural partners, like the fiat payment providers, now work effectively. The fleet management partner will soon be able to plug in their onboarding information on the company portal and kick-start operation. The vehicle inspection partners are ready to start verifying the credentials of individual drivers.
The dApp as well as the ecosystem is ready to win more followers
Additionally, our sales funnel is set up to bring in users immediately after we go live. After launch, users can download the d(app), plug in their onboarding details, and book rides. Our Facebook, Instagram, and web pages are part of our users’ acquisition tools. You will notice that we have increased engagement on Facebook and Instagram to build momentum. Let’s sum it up with the final 3 sprints to reach the launch date
- The first of the 3 sprints would have the tech team implement the following;
- Switching the d(app) to production environment
- complete integration testing of the d(apps), the VIN portal, and the company portal
- Publish the user/driver d(apps) on app stores and play store
2. The second sprint will have the d(app), the company portal, and the VIN portal delivered to the sales/operation team to implement the following:
- Onboard pilot candidates on the user d(app)
- Onboard mobility partners on the driver d(app) and the company portal
- Onboard vehicle inspection partners on the VIN portal
- Test the d(app), the company, and the VIN portal.
3. The third sprint will have the marketing team do the following;
- Start massive online marketing campaign
- Organize a physical outreach, especially in Lagos
