Reasons to be thankful in 2017
2017 will be one those years rarely forgotten. The year saw new challenges and endured many unforeseen tragedies. It required strength of the world’s citizens to keep pushing forward, to conquer hardships together. Even in the darkest moments, we strived towards the light of hope. Daring to innovate, we navigated the unknown with new ideas, fresh breakthroughs, and revolutionary inventions.
As year’s end approaches, we reflect on our past days, history helping us see the triumphs of progress. Our past allows us to appreciate the many benchmarks set, the lessons learned, and the memories made. This season we are thankful for the past — with its ups and downs — for teaching us what it means to truly push forward. It’s taught us to look to new days with hope and determination; to fulfill our dreams, and infuse days with optimism and dedication for the better.
At Blue Bite, we chase our dreams — we pursue our vision of changing the way people interact with things. As 2017 unfolded and continues to unfurl, we see digital capabilities continue to expand and revolutionize the way we interact with the physical world. IoT — the disruptive idea to connect things to things, people to people, and things to people — has given new purpose to hardware, allowing products to do more. IoT has breathed vitality into ordinary things, bridging a gap between ourselves and the physical world. These micro-moments and interactions guiding us closer towards stronger connection and relationships.
The push for a new interaction paradigm is the force and progression we put forth. We don’t accept the status quo, but rise against it to create a new normal. As George Bernard Shaw put it, we cannot be afraid of change for “progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” It is with the bold intent to disrupt and better the existing ways of things that we can truly create meaningful impacts.
As we move forward, we must ask more of the world around us, pushing limits and drawing new lines to make us stronger, hope greater, and dream bigger. We must ask more of things because they can do more than their intrinsic functionalities. By adding a whole new digital dimension to things, we unleash their full potentials. It takes an extra step to make an ordinary thing extraordinary.
Together we forge a new future. We look to 2017 grateful for its challenges, its inspiration, motivation and sense of stalwartness. We look to 2018 girded with the mindset to do more, to be more, and to ask more of the things around us.
