Title: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tells

Director: Patty Jenkins

Rating: PG-13

Run Time: 2h 21m

I know what you’re thinking, “Another Pirates of the Caribbean!” I agree folks. I’m going to go ahead and tell y’all that I thought the series should have ended after the third installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. The series has gone on long enough and just needs to be put out of its misery. On to the actual movie now.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tells is nothing to be excited about. The movie is not bad, but it can be very boring — my brother was almost asleep at various times. The cast that has been a part of the four movies beforehand do fine in their respective roles, but the new roles that were added were simply sub par. While there are some scenes that are well done and remind viewers of why the original was so entertaining, it offers very little of anything else. Die hards will be happy to know that the movie does offer closure to the main plotline of the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films that fans will appreciate. Other than that, there is very little to really enjoy in what will hopefully be the last Pirates of the Caribbean.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend seeing this movie until it is available for you to rent and watch on a day when you are doing absolutely nothing else.
