Title: Wonder Woman

Director: Patty Jenkins

Rating: PG-13

Run Time: 2h 21m

The DC expanded universe (DCEU) is just in its beginning stages and has had a lot of criticism given to its first two movies, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Wonder Woman is the third installment in the DCEU and solely focuses on Wonder Woman.

Gal Gadot plays the lead role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman and she does an excellent job. The rest of the cast, which includes Chris Pine, Robin Wright, and David Thewlis, play their roles very well and are casted beautifully. The story line, although not being very original because of its many parallels to Captain America: The First Avenger, is well done and thought out. The movie is long, but justifies its run time because of the amount of content the movie covers. Wonder Woman, like the previous two DCEU films, uses slow motion way too much and, because of this, the movie does seem quite long during some scenes.

I am not one to be very particular about CGI because I know so little about it, and it’s not something that I’m good at judging; but I can almost promise you though, Wonder Woman will not be winning any awards for its CGI. Small parts of the film, such as Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth, are very poorly done.

Overall, DC should be congratulating themselves on delivering a movie that both critics and movie goers can enjoy. If you are looking for a good movie to see in theaters, look no further than Wonder Woman.
