I regularly collaborate with a variety of international musicians on various projects. This is a jazzy blues piece we created devoted to our beloved coffee. I did vocals and lyrics. A link to the song is at the bottom of the page if you’d like to listen. Hope you enjoy!

Black coffee, strong, hard, and true
Black coffee can’t get started without you

Fill me to the brim
So I can begin each day anew

Don’t need no sugar in my bowl
If it’s too sweet, I’m out of control

Just give it to me with a bit of cream
And about you, I shall have my evening dream

Don’t like no tea, that’s weaker stuff
Give me the grind that’s more than enough

If you’ve got a biscuit, I’d like that too
But nothing too sweet for that I’ve got you

I’m not a coffee shop kind of gal
If I wanna go there, I’ll take a pal

With you at home, that’s all I need
Making my coffee to give me speed
